The purpose of the Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi Claims Settlement Act 2005 (NZ) is 'to record the acknowledgements and apology given by the Crown to Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi in the deed of settlement dated 27 November 2003 and ... to give effect to certain provisions of the deed of settlement, which is a deed that settles the Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi historical claims' (s 3).
