According to its website, members of The South African Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors (SAFCEC) have helped create roads, railways, bulk/container ports, airports, electricity provision, sewerage networks and water schemes in South Africa for more than 60 years. The SAFCEC has developed to meet challenges facing these members.
It has four branches, in the North, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, and the Western Cape.
SAFCEC is signatory to the Construction Sector Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Charter. In relation to this, SAFCEC, in conjunction with BEE Verification Agency Pty Ltd (BEEVER), has developed a Scorecard Tool that is available from its website (see link below).
