According to its website, its mission is to provide "a holistic and culturally appropriate health care service to the Aboriginal people of the Goldfields."

    The Corporation (then known as the Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation) was registered under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 (Cth) in 1983. The Corporation adopted its current name in 1993 (see ORAC documents).
