The Cultural Heritage Investigation Agreement between Tarong Energy Corporation Ltd and the Bunya Wakka Wakka Cultural and Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (formed by the Wakka Wakka #2 Native Title Claimants) on 4 December 2007.
The aim of the agreement is that the parties work together in order to identify, protect and preserve areas of cultural significance to the Wakka Wakka people on land occupied by Tarong Energy (ABC News 2007).
Tarong Energy's Chief Executive Officer, Helen Gluer, has said that "the agreement has already proved extremely useful in a number of projects the corporation has worked on over the past year including the proposed development of a new ash placement area and investigations undertaken as part of the fuel decision" (Tarong Energy 2007).
