The Kalkadoon Gliderport Indigenous Land Use Agreement(ILUA) was concluded between the Kalkadoon People, Mount Isa City Council and the State of Queensland (APPLICANT) on 13 June 2008. William Doyle, Noelene Dempsey, Ilona Partner, Sonny Condren, Hazel Munro, Sue Samardin Jr, Pat Kyle, Connie Craigie and Doug Bruce were parties on their own behalf and on behalf of the Kalkadoon People.
The purpose of the ILUA is for the parties to surrender an area with the intent of extinguishing any native title rights or interests. The ILUA grants freehold title the Mount Isa City Council for residential development purposes, to the Queensland government for public use and for the Kalkadoon People as per the terms contained in the ILUA. |
