The 'Central Petroleum and others and Central Land Council Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) re Exploration' was concluded between the Central Land Council (APPLICANT)and Central Petroleum Ltd, Helium Australia Pty Ltd, Ordiv Petroleum Pty Ltd and Frontier Oil & Gas Pty Ltd. The agreement was registered on 13 June 2008.
The purpose of the ILUA is to grant exploration permits in the proposed areas and set the terms under which Central Petroleum and its subsidiary companies agree to exercise their rights under the permits. |

The ILUA covers all matters relating to the grant and use of the permits and the terms and conditions applicable for any future Production Agreements in the permit area.
To the extent that the grant of the permits is a future act as defined in the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), the Land Council consents to exploration subject to the terms and conditions of the ILUA. The right to negotiate under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) was excluded by the ILUA. | |
