	The area of the ILUA covers 1,351 square kilometres falling within the Gunai/Kurnai native title determination (Application VG6007/98 - VC97/4). Summary Information:
The Gunai/Kurnai - Morning Star Regional Exploration and Mining Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) was concluded between Olive Tregonning, Sandra Middleton Patten, Graham John (Bootsie) Thorpe and Albert Mullet on behalf of the Gunai/Kurnai claimants (APPLICANTS) and Morning Star Gold NL.
Detailed Information:
The ILUA concerns the right of Morning Star Gold to explore the agreement area for potential mining sites, pursuant to a licence granted by the State of Victoria. The exercise of those exploration rights are subject to the terms and conditions of the ILUA. The Gunai/Kurnai agreed that any future acts done in respect of this ILUA are valid. The parties agreed that the right to negotiate under the Native Title Act does not apply. A press release from Morning Star Gold reveal that 'the two Indigenous Peoples concerned (Taungurong & Gunai Kurnai Peoples) have [secured for Morning Star Gold] binding agreements on mineral rights in perpetuity.
