A land transfer agreement between Griffith University and the Ngarang-Wal Land Council - representing the traditional owners of the Gold Coast, the Kombumerri people.

Under the agreement the Kombumerri, who have a 1996 native title claim on the Crown land bordering Griffith University's Gold Coast Campus, promised not to oppose the transfer of 46 hectares of land for educational purposes from the Queensland Government to Griffith University. In turn the University would work with local Aboriginal people to promote awareness of Kombumerri values and traditions.
