The Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul People and Toowoomba Regional Council Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA)was agreed between Toowoomba Regional Council and Kenneth Henry Bonner, Clarence William Bonner, Caroline Joyce Bonner-Bray, James Bonner, Madonna William (Jagera People), Eddie Ruska, Michelle Thomson (Yuggera People) and Ross Anderson and Eileen Oertel (Ugarapul People). The Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul People and the Local Government recognise in the ILUA that they should work together to recognise each others rights and interests and to help each other meet responsibilities. | ||
Detailed Information: | ||
The parties consent to: •the effect that acts already done in the ILUA area, such as off alignment roads and other public works, are deemed to have been done validly but without extinguishing any Native Title; •activities involving the improvement or maintenance of land or waters in the ILUA Area by or on behalf of the Local Government for the public benefit;and •activities involving the grant in the ILUA Area to the Local Government of an interest in land or waters or a statutory approval for the benefit of the Local Government. |
