Summary Information: | ||
This Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) was agreed between the State of Queensland and Alison Liddy, Gavin Bassani and McGinty Salt on 2 June 2010. The purpose of this ILUA is to provide consent for the doing of a series of Agreed Acts, to the extent that they are future acts. These acts relate to the declaration and use of a Proposed Nature Refuge Area pursuant to a Conservation Agreement between the parties.
Detailed Information:
Pursuant to this ILUA, the parties give their consent to a number of Agreed Acts - being acts necessary to give effect to both this agreement and an Indigenous Management Agreement made in accordance with s 83G of the Aboriginal Land Act 1991 (Qld). These acts include the following: - granting Aboriginal Land for a proposed ALA Area to the members of the Land Trust under the Aboriginal Land Act 1991 (Qld); - entering into and complying with a Conservation Agreement concerning a Proposed Nature Refuge Area; and - declaring, using and managing a Proposed Nature Refuge Area as a nature refuge. The parties also agree to the validating of any invalid Agreed Acts that were done in the ILUA area prior to 31 March 2011 (the Registration Date). As per Clause 7 of this ILUA, the right to negotiate provisions in Part 2, Division 3, Subdivision P of the Native Title Act 1993 will not apply to the doing of the abovementioned Agreed Acts. |
