The Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation was incorporated in June 1984, with the goal of providing high-quality medical services to the Aboriginal community of the Illawarra region. It now employs personnel who are qualified in a wide range of areas, including dental, mental health, sexual health, early childhood and substance abuse. Much of the Corporation's funding comes from the New South Wales Department of Health and Ageing.
The Corporation is a signatory to the Illawarra Regional Partnership Agreement (RPA), which was signed on 9 December 2010. | |
