The Booroongen Djugun College began providing outreach training services in 1994 through the work of the Booroongen Djugun Aboriginal Corporation. It offers training courses that have been developed to enable Aboriginal students facing learning difficulties in literacy and numeracy to gain the skills necessary to apply for employment in a variety of fields. These fields include business, community services, health, information technology, conservation and land management, training, beauty, aged care and hospitality.
The courses offered by the College are specifically designed from an Aboriginal perspective, and seek to incorporate traditional law and custom into the training experience. In terms of levels, they range from Certificate I to Diploma.
The College is a signatory to the Many Rivers Regional Partnership Agreement (RPA), which was signed on 25 August 2009. | |

In 2004, the College became the recipient of a national award - the Australian Indigenous Community Provider of the Year 2004.
