The Corporation, in consultation with Cape York Aboriginal people, has identified the following objectives:
Act as a Public Benevolent Institution for the provision of assistance to Cape York Aboriginal people.
Maximize the opportunities of Cape York Aboriginal people to live their own culture on their own lands under their own direction.
Provide coordination between Cape York Aboriginal people in order to achieve the above.
Ensure that Cape York Aboriginal people are in a position to take advantage of any opportunities to achieve these aims through economies of scale.
Develop regional strengths across the Cape York by supporting Cape York Aboriginal people and communities to instruct subregional organisations to do what their communities ask of them.
Provide administrative support to Cape York Aboriginal people and assist to plan their operations and meet requirements of funding bodies and them the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations.
Support and provide coordination for Cape York Aboriginal people to carry out their land and sea cultural management responsibilities.
Foster economic development through improved understanding of the economy and through facilitating and development of regional economic initiatives in Cape York.
