Details of the agreement Commencement The Agreement was registered with the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT) on 21 October 2014. However, the Agreement commenced operative effect on 25 July 2014. No end date is specified. Native Title Provisions The Extract notes that the Agreement does not include any statements mentioned in subsection 24EB(1) or 24EBA(1) or (4) of the Native Title Act Background to the ILUA Native Title in the ILUA Area The Agreement Area is described as Pastoral Lease 3114/1194 (Yakka Munga) - (Crown Lease 280-1984). This falls within the external boundary of Native Title Determination application Nyikina and Mangala (WC1999/025; WAD6099/98). A Consent Determination was made by the Federal Court on 29 May 2014 in relation to part of the application area (Watson on behalf of the Nyikina Mangala People v State of Western Australia (No 6) [2014] FCA 545). |
