The Agreement forms a partnership between Aboriginal Medical Service Redfern (AMS), Sydney Local Health District (SLHD), Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) in a joint endeavour to close the health gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Detailed Information:
The Agreement provides a mechanism for carrying out healthcare functions at the regional level to improve health outcomes and healthcare for Aboriginal people living in the areas covered by SLHD, NSLHD and SESLHD. The partnership seeks to:
- Improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in these areas through the collective knowledge and skills of the parties and advocacy;
- To reinforce the principles of the Aboriginal community controlled health service charter;
- Encourage the sharing knowledge on Aboriginal Health; and
- Ensure annual review changes from the implementation of agreed priorities

The Partnership produces Action Plans that guide and detail strategies and projects under the Partnership.
