The Project Agreement for the Torres Strait Islander Health Protection Strategy - Saibai Island Health Clinic ('the Agreement') provides for additional staff for the treatment of communicable diseases at the Saibai Island health clinic and for the development and implementation of a sexual health education campaign and enhance overall primary health care services at the clinic. | ||
Detailed Information: | ||
Outputs The outputs of the Agreement focus on improving primary health care on Saibai Island, with a focus on communicable diseases including tuberculosis, vector-borne diseases and bacterial and viral infections. It also provides for increased sexual health clinical services and community education, and promotion of good nutrition to people with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other chronic health conditions. As part of the Agreement, vaccinations and screenings will be provided as well as the development of culturally appropriate sexual health education campaigns. Roles and Responsibilities The Commonwealth will be responsible for monitoring and assessing achievement against milestones in the delivery of the Torres Strait Islander Health Protection Strategy. Saibai Island Health Clinic will ensure that outputs are delivered within the agreed timeframe; and provide consequential funding to ensure implementation of the Agreement. The role and responsibility of Queensland includes all aspects of delivery on the project outputs, reporting on the delivery of outputs, milestones, reporting and payments. |
