The Kombumerri People are a clan group of the Yugambeh language region which stretches from the Logan River to the Tweed River (Barlow and Best 1997). They have lived on the Gold Coast and hinterlands for thousands of years congregating particularly along the Nerang River and Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creeks.
