The Blackwater Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) was agreed between the Gaangalu Nation People and the State of Queensland.

Detailed Information:
Details of the Agreement: The ILUA is located in Central Highlands Regional Council. The agreement area covers 18 lots within the townsite of Blackwater.

Commencement: The ILUA commenced on 18 May 2016.

Native Title Provisions: The parties agree to the validation of acts done prior to registration of the agreement. The parties agree that the right to negotiate provisions of the Native Title Act do not apply to any of the agreed acts. The parties agree to a surrender of native title rights in any Revenue Share Lots.

Native Title in the ILUA Area: The ILUA is in the native title claim area of Lynette Gail Blucher & Ors on behalf of the Gaangalu Nation People v State of Queensland & Ors (Gaangalu Nation People) (QUD400/2012) which is still before the Federal Court of Australia.
