The Ugar Community Hall Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) was agreed, under the provisions of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), between the Torres Strait Island Regional Council and Ugar Ged Kem Le Zeuber Er Kep Le (Torres Strait Islanders) Registered Native Title Body Corportate (RNTBC). The agreement area covers about 800 sq m on Ugar (Stephen Island). The purpose of the agreement is to consent to the doing of all the activities necessary for renovating the existing Ugar Community Hall. The Native Title Representative Body for this area is the Torres Strait Regional Authority. | ||

Commencement: This agreement commenced on the execution date (unspecified in the Extract), with the exceptions of Clause 5 and 6 (regarding the agreed future acts) which commenced on its registration date, 21 December 2017. Termination: This agreement may be terminated by the written agreement of the parties. Native Title Provisions: Right to negotiate The parties agree that the right to negotiate provisions of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) do not apply to the agreed future acts. Future act provisions On the condition that the Torres Strait Regional Council, as trustee, has given a Project Notice to the Ugar Ged Kem Le Zeuber Er Kep Le RNTBC, this agreement provides consent for the doing of any activity required to complete the Ugar Community Hall extension, including:
