Summary Information:
The Central Darling Shire Council is the largest shire in NSW and has the smallest population. It covers an area the size of Tasmania yet its population is less than 2,000 people. The district was once the prime port for the shipping of wool for the entire western district of New South Wals. Wilcannia is the Shire's administrative centre.
