The Tjiwarl People are the native title holders of a determination area that covers approximately 13,600 square kilometres throughout the Central Desert Region of Western Australia, stretching over land and waters between the towns of Wiluna in the north and Leonara in the south. The west of the area extends over Booylgoo Range and Part of Montague Range, and the east of the area of the area extends over Mount Keith and Mount Sir Samuel. The Tjiwarl mob are collectively named after their native title claim, but identify as desert people of different names, such as Burndjarra, Tjupan, Koara and Ngalia people.
