The traditional owners of the Strelley Homestead area formed Strelley Pastoral Pty Ltd, and purchased the pastoral station in 1975, in order to be able to remain on their country. Since then, the corporation has purchased other pastoral stations including Carlindi, Warralong and Coongan (Town of Port Hedland, 2008). Strelley Pastoral Pty Ltd is a respondent in the Nyamal People #10 Consent Determination (WCD2019/011) and signatory to the Strelley Nyamal Indigenous Land Use Agreement (WI2020/012). |
