Summary Information:

An Act to provide for: 

  • the disposal of a pipeline system belonging to the Gas Corporation; 
  • the assignment of things to give effect to the disposal; 
  • the holding of a state land corridor, and
  • related matters. 

The Act determines that the Gas Corporation may dispose of (give over control or effectively sell) the pipeline system, in whole or in part, to a purchaser [s 6].

Section 28 defines 'state corridor rights' as an interest in land within the pipeline corridor that cannot injuriously affect any other right, title, or interest in the land.

Section 29 gives the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) Land Access Minister the power to do all things required with regards to the designation of any right, title or interest, transfer or restriction within the DBNGP corridor, as well as the power to designate additional land to be included in the DBNGP corridor.
