The Wiluna people are successful native title claimants. The BP (Deceased) and Others v State of Western Australia [2013] FCA 760 (Wiluna People) and WF (Deceased) on behalf of the Wiluna People v State of Western Australia [2013] FCA 755 (Wiluna People # 2) Federal Court determinations describe the native title holders as those persons who have rights in all or part of the determination area through decent, having been conceived or born in the area, long term residence, high ritual knowledge or responsibility within the area, and who are recognised under rational law and customs by other native title holders of the area.
