The Victorian Treaty Advancement Commission was an independent office set up to maintain the momentum of the treaty process and to establish the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria. Ms Jill Gallagher AO was appointed the Victorian Treaty Advancement Commissioner and commenced her role in January 2018. The Victorian Treaty Commission ceased to exist once the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria was established in 2019 (Victorian Treaty Advancement Commission, About the Commission). |
