| The City of Glenorchy is located north of neighbouring Hobart between the foothills of Mount Wellington and the western banks of the Derwent River. The Glenorchy municipality covers an area of approximately 112 sq km and has a population of just under 44,000 (based on 1994 ABS Estimates). Glenorchy's topography is predominantly hilly with a flat area near the Derwent River and mountainous western boundary. |
