The Mungindi Rural Transaction Centre was established to 'secure new services including a renovated library, tourism support services, business support services, a community technology centre, and facilities for community functions, meetings and training'.

The complex will also 'provide integrated service delivery for the Moree Women's Refuge, parenting and counselling services, improved Centrelink access, and centralised access to Government services, providing value-for-money for all agencies'.
