Tommy Imabulg Lyons is a Larrakia traditional owner and senior elder of the Danggalaba (or crocodile) clan. The new northern suburb of Lyons in Darwin to be developed in 2006 -2011 is named after him.
Tommy Lyons was a former member of the Black Watch and worked for many years as a Northern Territory Police Tracker. He lived for the majority of his life around the Cox Pensinsula at Dum-in-mirrie and on the Indian Islands in Bynoe Harbour. |
