The purpose of this Area Agreement is to provide consent to the developer to use the Agreement Area as a dingo conservation area.

Commencement

This ILUA was registered with the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT) on 28 March 2014.

The Extract does not note a specific start or end date for this Agreement.

The Extract does note, however that the Agreement takes effect from the Date of Execution and continues until the expiry of the Lease, unless terminated in accordance with the Agreement.

Native Title Provisions

Future Acts

The Parties consent to the doing of certain Future Acts in the Agreement Area, including:

(a) the grant by the State of the Lease to the developer;

(b) the use of the Lease area by the developer; and

(c) any other Future Acts outlined in Schedule E of the Agreement.

The Lease must be in the from set out in Schedule H of the Agreement

Schedule E -Future Acts

Schedule E of the Agreement lists the Future Acts covered by the Agreement as:

"The grant of the Lease by the State and the use of the ILUA area by the developer to operate a dingo conservation centre."

Native Title in the ILUA Area.

The Dja Dja Wurrung Peoples filed a native title claim with the Federal Court of Australia as proceeding VID6001/00 on 19 July 2000. On 28 March 2013, the Victorian Government and the Dja Dja Warrung people reached a native title settlement, recognising the Dja Dja Wurrung people as the traditional owner group for approximately 266,532 hectares of Crown land in central Victoria.

The ILUA area is subject to this land.
