| Queensland Cotton Holdings Limited was incorporated in May 1989 following the deregulation of the Australian cotton industry. It was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1992 and now has approximately 4,500 shareholders. It was originally established in 1921 as the Australian Cotton Growing Association (Queensland) Limited and as such is Australia's oldest cotton ginning and marketing organisation. Its permanent employees number over 300 which increases by up to 500 during the ginning season. |
