The Ord River District Cooperative Ltd ('the Cooperative') was formed in 1963 to serve the needs of the Ord River Valley Farmers. The Cooperative provides the farmers with agricultural materials such as chemicals and fertilisers. It has approximately 150 shareholders and turns over $14 million per annum with an $8 million equity (The West Australian 2003). The Cooperative is a party to the Ord Final Agreement Indigenous Land Use Agreement.
