The Hervey Bay City Council was the local government entity for Hervey Bay. Following local government elections on 15 March 2008, Hervey Bay City Council was amalgamated with Tiaro Shire Council, Maryborough City Council and Woocoo Shire Council to form the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
