Summary Information:
The Office of Aboriginal Health was established by the Western Australian Department of Health in 1996. Its purpose is to 'work in partnership with Aboriginal communities and health service providers to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receive culturally appropriate health care that meets their needs.'

The Office is responsible for policy-making, planning and contracting a range of health care services, often working in partnership with the Commonwealth Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
