    Australian Health Workforce is a government supported body which undertakes health workforce planning and research on a national level. These activities are performed through various working groups, coordinated by the Health Workforce Principal Committee (HWPC).

    The working groups undertake projects, research and data analysis whereby workforce planning advice is related to Australian Health Ministers, Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Committee (AHMAC) and health workforce stakeholders.

    HWPC replaced the Australian Health Workforce Officials Committee (AHWOC).
