    The Ngoonjuwah Council Aboriginal Corporation (NCAC) was incorporated in 1998 pursuant to the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 (Cth).

    The aims and objects of the NCAC include the promotion and support of education, job training, health services, work, housing, social development, and management of affairs for its members.

    NCAC supervises and supports Community Development Employment Programme (CDEP) placements, and mentors local Aboriginal businesses. It also provides job networking, and has its own commercial operations. (Job Futures Website, March 2007).

    It also aims to 'participate with other Aboriginal Associations in projects for their mutual benefit.' (ORAC Corporation Objects and Rules, March 2007).

    It is party to the Regional Partnership Agreement on Indigenous Employment in the East Kimberley.
