Summary Information:
The Quebec Association of Indians was responsible for the application to the Quebec Superior Court for an injunction to stop all construction in the James Bay Region in 1972. While the decision to grant the injunction was eventually overturned, the initiative led to the James Bay and Northern Quebec Settlement Agreement in 1975.
