    Summary Information:
    South African Women in Construction (SAWiC) is a national association that represents the interests of women employed in all areas of construction. It seeks to promote women's advancement in employment, contracts, training, finance, networks and marketing. As at 2008, SAWiC provided services for more than 2000 women contractors in South Africa (SAWiC website, c2008).

    SAWiC is signatory to the Construction Sector Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Charter.
