    Summary Information:
    The Council for Yukon Indians (CYI) is the former name for the Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN). It was created to represent all Yukon bands, by the Yukon Indian Brotherhood (which had represented Status Indians) and the Yukon Assocation for Non-Status Indians.

    The CYI was formed to negotiate a land claims agreement that became known as the Umbrella Final Agreement (see link below).
